Blaise Aguera y Arcas the co-creator of Photosynth, a new Microsoft image search program, demos the remarkable product at TED 2007. Photosynth stitches together photographs into multidimensional models, allowing you to navigate through images supplied by various authors in a life like environment.
Seadragon, the technology behind Photosynth, allows amazing high resolution and large files to be viewed with smoothly and with ease. It provides a mechanism to embed further layers of data by having zoomable 'small print' elements within the images. As demoed, imagine a newspaper ad that you can see different models and technical specifications by zooming in on parts of the image/text.
